The goal of this dissertation is to present a ignored aspect of Matn Luther King’s vision which i found most critical. A vision that stretches far beyond black and white children keeping hands. The aspect that struck myself as most essential was the restructuring of the American political and economic system. Full believed that the America must be working to certainly be a more only society. Ruler was harmful to those who have benefit from the agony of the many. He aimed to revealed that America is a land built by wealthy for the rich.
From the beginning of his profession King in-line himself with the disenfranchised. Having been not only a head of dark-colored Americans but an advocate pertaining to humanity. King’s entire vision was predicated on the value of closing the suffering of others. His vision was going to address the issue of inequality by using a peaceful wave that would change the entire America political and economic structure. To Ruler it was too little to be incorporated into this contemporary society. What was necessary was to become integrated in a society that values cultural justice. Because of structural inequality, many who had been born in poverty perished in poverty.
In America, a tiny minority with the population provides always manipulated the majority of the prosperity. Over time wealth seems to be a little more concentrated. As a result, the problem of inequality is usually structural. To know this problem, we must go back to 1787 and assessment the statements made by David Madison. Madison declared, “When the number of landholders shall be fairly small¦ will never the landed interest be overbalanced in future elections¦ if perhaps elections were open to all classes of individuals the property of landed entrepreneurs would be insecure” (National Archive). King appeared to understand this underlying system that guarantees inequality and agreed to change that. We do not learn about this element of King’s legacy because it is questionable. It is much easier to ignore King’s vision then to captivate the thought of what could have become whenever we followed through with his perspective.
King questioned the ethics of American capitalism. He considered how a contemporary society so wealthy could be saturated with lower income. He realized that for America to be truly equal, electricity needed to be directed at the people. King creates, “Calling for the radical répartition of monetary and politics power since the only way in order to meet the real demands of poverty in America” (Harding). This individual planned on obtaining his goal through across the country civil disobedience. King was a superb speaker and article writer which produced him a threat to the current system. A method that frowned on government reliance for poor people. King desired to make spending on poverty obligatory not discretionary. He realized that the only way to eradicate poverty was to pass anti-poverty legislation. He was adamant for an economic bill of rights that guaranteed annual rent for every American citizen. This kind of contrasted coming from previous indirect programs to fight low income, in that King’s proposal would have directly resolved poverty.
From the various neglected aspects of King’s vision, the redistribution of power struck me as the most important. California king was seen as a radical in the time period. A large number of people who was by him during the detrimental rights movement did not prepare him when he called for an innovation. We are doing King an excellent disservice by not talking about his struggle for the redistribution of power.
